When I was a kid, I would sit at the kitchen table drawing and writing stories while my mum would fill the house with music. My dad would come home from work with the latest video rental and I would record the sound onto tapes and play them back, over and over. I had to reconstruct the pictures from memory and what I couldn’t remember, I made up.
Those early days informed how I now see the world. I hear music when I see a frame, I feel rhythm everywhere and see stories in a single picture. All that music and film come together in my head to form the films I make.
All while waiting for a revolution.
